Theme Options > API Keys

Here you can put your API and other necessary keys related to various social networks.

Facebook API


How to get the codes you need:

  1. Create a new application HERE.
  2. Select "website" and name your application.
  3. Click "Create new Facebook APP ID".
  4. Select category and click "Create App ID".
  5. Click "Skip quick start" in right top corner.
  6. Copy App ID and App Secret.
    Save the Theme Options and refresh this page.
  7. Now you should see App Token here.
    Save the Theme Options.

Facebook App ID: You have to enter your Facebook App ID to be able to share your site and to make a Facebook commentary.
Facebook App Secret: You have to enter your Facebook App Secret string to be able to share your site and to make a Facebook commentary.
Facebook App Token: To make this option available, please set both the Facebook App ID and Facebook App Secret items above. Save and refresh this page (F5). Then enter your Facebook App Token string.
Comments Moderation Area: If you are a moderator, you will see notifications within facebook.com. If you don't want to have moderator status or want to see all comments in one area, use the [Go to Moderation Area] button.

Twitter API


How to get the codes you need:

  1. Create a new application HERE.
  2. Set the Name, Description, etc... (Callback URL keep blank).
  3. Now click on the "Keys and Access Tokens".
  4. Copy "Consumer Key (API Key)" and "Consumer Secret (API Secret)" and paste them into the appropriate fields below.
  5. Underneath click "Create my access tokens".
  6. Copy "Access Token" and "Access Token Secret" and paste them into the appropriate fields below.
    Save the Theme Options.

To be able to set up and use your latest tweets from the Twitter on your site, you need to enter your Twitter API´s keys - API Key, API Secret, Access Token and Access Token Secret. To get them, please visit https://dev.twitter.com/apps/new.

Instagram API


How to get the codes you need:

  1. Create a new application HERE.
    Set the "Redirect URI" to "http://www.gdaynews.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=optionsframework".
    Get both the "Client ID" and the "Client Secret" keys and paste them into the appropriate fields below.
    Save the Theme Options and refresh this page (F5)    .
  2. Now click on the "Get Instagram Access Token".
    Save the Theme Options and refresh this page again.
    To get your USER ID, please click here (you need this ID for setting up the J&W - Social Widget).

App Client ID: Enter your key.
App Client Secret:  Enter your key.
Instagram App Token: To make this option available, please set both the App Client ID and App Client Secret items above. Save and refresh this page (F5). Then enter your Instagram App Token string.

YouTube API


How to get the codes you need:

  1. Create a new project HERE.
  2. Set the name. Click "Create"
  3. Go to APIs&auth > APIs (on the left side) and click the YouTube Data API.
  4. Click the Enable API.
  5. Got to APIs&auth > APIs > Credentials. Create new Client ID. Select "Web application". Click the "Configure consent screen".
  6. Set the "Product name" and click the "Save" button.
  7. Set the "Authorized JavaScript origins" url to your domain url.
  8. Set the"Authorized redirect URIs" to "http://www.gdaynews.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=optionsframework". Click the "Create Client ID".
  9. Get both the "Client ID" and the "Client Secret" keys and paste them into the appropriate fields below.
    Save the Theme Options and refresh this page (F5).
  10. Now click on the "Get YouTube Access Token".
    Save the Theme Options and refresh this page again.

To get your USER ID, please click here (you need this ID for setting up the J&W - Social Widget).

App Client ID: Enter your key.
App Client Secret:  Enter your key.
YouTube App Token: To make this option available, please set both the App Client ID and App Client Secret items above. Save and refresh this page (F5). Then enter your YouTube App Token string.

Thumblr API


How to get the codes you need:

  1. Create a new project HERE.
  2. Click "Register application"
  3. Set Application name, etc ... Set "Default callback URL" to "http://www.gdaynews.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=optionsframework"
  4. Click "Show secret key".
  5. Copy "OAuth Consumer Key" and "Secret Key" and paste them into the appropriate fields below.

Enter the API Key and API Secret you got after following the instruction above.
