How to Set a Theme Locale
This tutorial will explain how can you set a locale for GDayNews wordpress theme.
Setting it up
Our default translated files are located in the languages folder (gdaynews/languages/). This folder can contain several translations from our clients.
These files are named after your locale, e.g. for the Czech Republic is cs_CZ.po and cs_CZ.mo
If you want to set your GDayNews Wordpress Theme to that existing locale, in our case for the Czech Republic, please simply go to wordpress admin dashboard, settings and change locale right there.
There are several methods how to translate our GDayNews wordpress theme.
- Via Editor – Poedit is the best translations editor for translating apps and sites (that use gettext). Thanks to its distraction-free approach, you’ll translate faster and easier with it. Please follow this URL.
- Via plugin – WPML makes it easy to build multilingual sites and run them. It’s powerful enough for corporate sites, yet simple for blogs. Please follow this URL.
