When trying to open existing post or create a new one I get a blank screen

Hi guys, first of all thanks a lot for your GDN theme, which I am using already for several years.Kindly note that yesterday I updated Wordress to version 5.6 and after this when I try to modify an existing post or create a new one I am getting a blank page. Also some theme's settings are now blank.My system:Wordpress version 5.6GDN theme version 2.2PHP version 7.4I see another thread, which seem like the same issue. Although it does not say about blank posts. Is it because of old theme version I am using?Please let me know if it is a known issue and how I can solve it? Thanks!
