Gallery and Thumbnails seperated on mobile devices

On the mobile view, the gallery(-picture) and its thumbnails are seperated by the content. So if a user is clicking on each thumbnail, it seems to him that nothing happens, because the change of the big image is happening out of the view port.It would be much better to have the thumnails right below the gallery-picture on mobile devices.How can this issue be solved?Best Regards,Sascha
