Shortcodes make wp-admin very slow

Hello;
The admin area of our site is so slow, but removing the JaW Shortcodes addon speeds it up to a normal speed.
Problem is, we use the shortcodes on the frontend.
How can this be fixed? We're running the latest version of the addon and wordpress
