Menu - Sub Cat Highlights

Hi,Is it possible with Custom CSS to get the sub category to highligh on the left nav menu? In the screen shot, the user is on the "Los Angeles" sub cat or Southern California. We would like "Los Angeles" to be highlighted if the user is on the sub cat.
