Scolling on image on product page

On the mobile responsive version, I cannot scroll up or down the product detail page if I am touching the product image. This is a problem on some product images because they are a bit larger and if they take up the entire screen the user cannot scroll the page at all. Is there a way to prevent/change this other than resizing all images? Thanks!
