Theme and Jetpack clash

For some reason there is an issue. The problem is we have found out whenever we turn on Jetpack the slideshow at the top of the screen dissapears. The links are there and the images are gone and we can only see a white space. The images return once we disable the jetpack plugin however the jetpack has functionality critical to our site
