Checkout issue in cart

Hi Guys, im on the final leg of finishing my site. I have come accross an issue when i click add to cart on a product it adds the product twice.
When i click checkout or view basket the product is added in twice. Please assist. this only happens when i add to cart from the shop page, when the product is viewed and i add to cart from there it works fine.
