Placeholders do not translate

We seem to have a problem with theme placeholders not translating.In fact strings are not registering and are not available for translation via WPML String TranslationI contacted WPML and they told me to check with theme makerThere are 4 that I found- search widget placeholder- order notes placeholder- street address placeholder- custom field of Ward (part of a district) placeholderSee screenshotWhat can be done to address this?
