Where is the CSS??

When I first uploaded and installed the theme I got an error that the CSS file was not uploaded. This happened when I first tried the demo and then when I bought the theme.
I uploaded the css file manually to my server.
But where do I find it in wordpress. The css file in "edit" does not have any css code in it.
Is there another way to change the color like background header and footer in the theme?
