It has come to attention that my clients site is running into a database connection limit, due to too many request at once. And it also appears that there are shortcode errors. As a result, the site is often inaccessible.
Though I've spoken with GoDaddy.com, who informed me of the database connection limit, and who recommended the following: You would ultimately need to look into optimizing Chat Windowhttps://sales.liveperson.net/hc/51516811/?cmd=file&file=printTranscript... 1 of 24/6/2015 1:39 PM the site to reduce the number of database connections in use. If your scripts are opening multiple database connections, you will need to adjust them so that fewer connections are used. You may also want to look at instances where you are opening up connections when you don't need to at all (like when serving common web content to visitors).
Is there anything that can be done about the database request scripts? Or should I look at moving to another host? Or is there something that I need to do about deactivating shortcodes plugins? And if I do deactivate any, will they still work in places they are being used? I didn't think so, but my expertise leaves much to be desired.
There is also an error log that you can access, should you need to, if you are willing to look into this.
I and my client still love the theme. If only we can have the site up and running all the time.
Warm regards Mark
