Search Not Working Properly

Hi,

I'm having an issue with the GoodStore theme. It seems as though the search barely works and does not search properly for product names, SKUs, or information.

Here is some screenshots of what I'm referring to:

As you can see, the first link is searching for the term "gothic" which should show results for the product which is in the second link (as the title of that product contains "gothic"). However, no results are shown. This is a theme issue because if we activate the Twenty Twenty theme, the result shows. We have also disabled all the plugins on the website. This issue persists with all products across the site.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

What is the process for switching to the Goodstore Child theme?

This is my own fault, but instead of starting off with the child theme as the active theme, I used the main Goodstore theme.

I would like to switch to using the child theme so we can do some extra things with the functions.php file. When I've tried switching over to the child theme, the menus aren't working right and the sidebars and widgets are not there. Can you tell me what the correct steps would be to transition my site over to the Child theme - in the easiest, most efficient way possible?

Customizing 'Additional Information' with Custom Fields

Hi there. I'd like to add my custom fields (Artist, Country, Materials) to my product page.

I noticed your guide to adding custom fields.

My issue is that I would like to add the information to the table of the "Additional Information" below the pictures, not up by the title/price.

I've been searching the support forums and google to see if I can figure out where to edit this, but can't quite figure it out.

All the Woocommerce support assumes I have /woocommerce/templates/some_file.php that doesn't exist in the /goodstore/ theme folder.

I can play with the table structure/php lookups/etc myself, I just wanted to know which file I would use to edit this?

If this isn't possible, is there another way to add this field information so that it gets stored in the Additional Information area? It's really the most logical place to put these extra fields.

On the dropdown menu for logging in for customers on the goodstore theme, there is only these options: username, password, remember me, log in and register, but is it possible to get "forgot password" link on the small dropdown menu as well?

Currently it is on v2.2.2 and I see a notification that v3.0.1 is available.

I am trying to find a way to update this.

Hello, I hope you to be having a good day, I'm bad with my English and I will try to explain as best you can.
just installed clean wordpress no data or demos, then followed all the steps to install the theme goodstore the installation was successful as the installation of plugins. after all installed correctly received a 500 error when trying to enter the desktop WordPress administration.

NOTE: i renamed woocommerce plugin folder that is te only way i can use the administration destop of WP

Styling Options Not Changing, REVO Composer missing components since update to 3.02

I decided to finally update and once i did i was unable to make any styling changes in the theme options. also the revo composer is missing elements for instance adding a youtube video there is no options for the box or design or more clips only done button. none of the changes i make in the theme options at all are being reflecting and i added the code you suggested to the wpconfig file. please help asap im running ads to the site as we speak and losing money because my site looks terrible.

I have had the style 2 Variation 1 installed by yourself and thank you for this. I thought demo images would be included in the demo? also when viewing the 'Title slider' on a smartphone it does not show correctly as other sliders are viewed. Please can you advise or have this corrected as i do not want my users unable to view the slider as i feel its an integral part of the theme to show your products in sliders.

Also advise how i can duplicate my home page as i cannot see duplicate button for the main home page (HomePage-2-variation-1) nor can i see this under the pages menu. Thank you

Hi there, loving the theme and I'm almost able to go live with this new website I'm building.
Client has requested a few changes that I can't seem to track down or make work:

Want to change the flash that says "FEATURED PRODUCT" which appears on the image of a product. Want it to say BRAND NEW (they mainly deal in 2nd hand clothing but some are brand new without tags).
Remove the SORT BY DEFAULT SORTING thing. I've googled this one as well but none of the suggested coding removes it.
This is a longshot. Can the images be shrunk to fit into their display boxes proportionally, instead of it cropping the image to make it fit? This would cause white space to appear around the image obviously, but they have asked for this if possible.
How can we adjust how long a product is marked "NEW" for? Want to reduce it to 12 days if possible.

Sorry to bug you again. Not sure if it's just me or the latest version that is causing the problem. Apart from the theme options issues, Revo composer doesn't seem to work anymore. When I click on the wrench to "edit setting of this element" nothing happens. There used to be pop up. Please help.

While the header, menu and footer display nice on mobile, I have a big issue on how the following elements appear on mobile:
Slider will not show.
Product categories and products are a mess.
Banner image will show cut off.

and everything is going fine.

My client wants to display product categories under the brand name. One brand can have more than 1 product categories..

The product page is displaying products beautifully under the product category like this

But for second brand I tried various means to get multiple product categories but it is not working.

Could you provide some basic instructions for creating Custom Carousel? There's only your own jaw type of shortcode entries that reference some numbered images that don't appear in my demo version. Is the number 748 the image path or title or what?

Hi,

I am using goodstore (localhost for the moment) and I want to use the countdown shortcode. However, when the countdown ends I would like it to stop to 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 secs, or ideally to display a message like "the offer has ended". Instead, it turns the time round to 1000 days and goes on counting, which is of no use to me.
Is there a functionality which I cannot see? If so, could you please point it out?
Or maybe this is just the way it works? If so, could the above features be in an upcoming release?

Theme Options Panel Not Functioning

First let me say that I have had the Goodstore theme installed just fine. After working in the production environment I installed it on a live site and the Theme Options panel is not working. Literally the panel is blank and does not repond. Any thoughts? It's been installed in exactly the same type of environment with the most recent version of WP and all the plugins I am using are the exact same ones I was using while under development.

Menu colour not changing

Hi there, loving the theme but I've hit a problem.
This is my seconds install of this website due to issues outwith my control.

I've re-installed everything from scratch - on the original install of the site I successfully changed the colours of the menu text and menu background.

On this new install, the colour changes do not take effect. I can see the text "Pick a background color for menu rows. Works only with the Small header style." but i have no idea what you mean by this.

I have replicated everything (I think) from the old site yet there is still an issue somewhere.

But When i navigate to my shop-based page I can't get rid of price or the Shop Title or the prices. Then when i click on an product page, no price shows up. I know I could hide the prices using CSS but I am hoping there is a more elegant solution. What am I missing?

No Insert Button on Google Maps Shortcode?

Unsure if this is something that has to do with install or what. But when I try to add a shortcode using the WYSIWYG editor, specifically the Google Maps Shortcode, there is no blue 'insert' button on the setting modal that pops up. Therefore preventing me from adding the Google map shortcode to the page.

Any suggestion why this happens?

I have bought the theme goodstore.
In the homepage i want 2 sidebars. One left and one right.
I am able to get the left sidebar. When in layout, I select the 2 sidebar layout, the second sidebar column appears in the backend. But it does not let me assign a sidebar to it. The homepage also gets messed up.
