Update Woocommerce 3.0 => missing product gallery functionality

Since the Woocommerce 3.0 update a few days ago (which contains major product gallery display improvements) Flyingnews product gallery images (as defined in each product page individually) in the shop (on the individual product pages) turn into large fullsize images in a separate window which totally kills the customer experience. Please help. Some more info below from Woocommerce.This is what the people over at Woocommerce say about the problem :
As explained in the launch posts, 3.0 has a new gallery which default themes use, and other themes can *choose* to use. Themes need to declare support for this gallery using the following:

If you have missing gallery functionality, see if there is a theme update – the author may have already added support for the above.
If you notice missing placeholder images, this is a known issue and will be fixed in 3.0.1.
If you notice missing galleries in total, you may have a javascript error on your page preventing the gallery from running. Check the error console (in Chrome, View > Developer > JavaScript console). If there is a javascript error, post on the forum or contact the theme dev if it’s coming from theme javascript.
